QDK Play Gretsch Day in Brookyn
On Saturday, June 8, 2019,QDK performed live at the 2019 Gretsch Day held at Street Sounds in Brooklyn New York. Along with Kenny Aaronson on bass guitar, and Dave Uosikkinen on drums, tand Quentin Jones on guitar this trio performed a blazing 30 minute set of blues, rock, and guitar instrumentals to a standing room only crowd. The set received glowing reviews and outstanding reaction from both fans and press alike.
Highlights of the set included New arrangements of the Sonny Boy Williamson classic “Help Me”, the Shadows “Apache”, and the new song “Take It” written by Jones.
Quentin uses his “Panther” and “6120”Gretsch guitars on his solo projects and and when working with artiste like Al Kooper, Graham Nash, Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, Charlie Gracie, Robert Gordon, Linda Gail Lewis, the Reach Around Rodeo Clowns, Dr Harmonica & Rockett 88 and many others. He is a well-known music producer and songwriter and a 2016 inductee in the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.

Joining Quentin in his Trio is drummer David Uosikkinen, (A founding member of The Hooters. Drums for Robert Gordon, Charlie Gracie, Dar Williams, Smash Palace, Cyndi Lauper, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Patty Smyth, The Soul Kitchen, David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket. The Berlin Wall with Roger Waters. Playing bass will be Kenny Aaronson – Bass, Vocals. (Rolling Stone’s Bassist of the Year, The Yardbirds, Bob Dylan, Brian Setzer, Mick Taylor, Hall and Oates, Dave Edmunds, Joan Jett, Billy Idol)
Jones, Aaronson and Uosikkinen will be heading into the studio during the summer of 2019 to record music for a future release. Additional live performances are currently being arranged .
Gretsch Guitar Day is an annual event held at the world-famous Street Sounds Music store, the largest retailer of Gretsch guitars in the world.
Along with Jones, Aaronson and Uosikkinen, the event featured Fred and Dinah Gretsch, Gretsch product specialist Joe Carducci, solo guitarist Steve Wariner, Lara Hope and the Ark- Tones, and a set by the Luster Kings
