Quentinjonesguitar.com is happy to announce that Quentin Jones of Lancaster PA, is currently featured in the September 2021 issue of Guitar Player Magazine in an article titled “Rebel Rousers” written by Mark McStea. The article recounts how legendary singer Robert Gordon kick-started a worldwide rockabilly revival in 1977 and the guitar players he recorded with, specifically Link Wray, Chris Spedding, Danny Harvey, and Quentin Jones.
The article features interviews with Spedding, Harvey, Richard Gottehrer, and Jones. In the article McStea states that “Like John Mayhall, the singer (Robert Gordon) became an act through which many great guitarist passed. After Wray, Gordon went on to recruit Chris Spedding and Danny Gatton. More recently, he’s worked with players like Eddie Angel, Quentin Jones, and, most recently, Danny B Harvey.”
Guitar player magazine has been writing about guitarists from all genres of music since 1967, and is considered the authority in styles, products, and history of guitar players.
Linda Gail Lewis Tour
Quentin, along with drummer David Uosikkinen ( the Hooters, David Uosikkinen’s In the Pocket,) and Kenny Aaronson ( Stories, the Yardbirds, Bob Dylan) on bass, aka the band QDK, will be the backing band for Linda Gail Lewis on four of her summer 2021 tour dates. Linda Gail Lewis has been recording and performing music with her brother, the great Jerry Lee Lewis, since the 1960s and has gone on to record critically acclaimed duet albums with Jerry Lee Lewis, Van Morrison, and most recently Robbie Fulks.
QDK will be playing with Linda starting with the Kenneth Flash Roof Top Series show in Kennett Square, PA on Sunday, August 22. After which they will be performing at Phantom Power in Millersville PA on Monday, August 23, the Saint George’s Country Store in Saint Georges DE on Tuesday, August 24, and Dietle’s Tavern in Rockville MD on August 25.
Linda and Quentin Will be performing as a duo on Thursday, August 26 at the purple fiddle, Thomas West Virginia, Friday, August 27 at Natalie‘s Grandview in Columbus OH, and Saturday, August 28 at down-home in Johnson City TN. On Sunday, August 29 they will be playing at the Donoho Hotel in Red Boiling Springs TN and on Monday, August 30 they’ll be performing in Lexington KY.
On September 4 Quentin will be re-joining his bandmates Kenny and David for QDK shows at the Church in Lebanon Pa and again on October 17 for the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival, Lancaster Pa.
