Keep Our Paddles Turning: Rock Royalty Bands Together to Save the Pride of the Susquehanna All-Star Benefit Concert with the Quentin Jones Rock and Roll Revue Featuring guest performers Tommy Conwell, Daryl Davis, Charlie Ingui (Soul Survivors), Leroy Hawks— May 31 at the Harrisburg Forum HARRISBURG, PA — Harrisburg’s heartbeat is on the line — and the city’s most iconic riverboat needs a lifeline. On Friday, May 31st at 7PM, the Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society will host Keep Our Paddles Turning, a one-night-only all-star concert fundraiser at the Harrisburg Forum to save the Pride of the Susquehanna, one of the last authentic paddlewheel riverboats in America. The concert will bring together a powerhouse lineup of legendary performers for a night of unforgettable music — and urgent mission. 🎸 Quentin Jones and the Rock and Roll Revue – High-energy rockabilly revivalists led by Jones, a veteran guitarist and producer who has performed with Robert Gordon, Linda Gail Lewis, Al Kooper, and more. 🎸 Tommy Conwell – Philly rock legend and frontman of The Young Rumblers, known for his searing guitar work and magnetic stage presence. 🎹 Daryl Davis – World-renowned boogie-woogie pianist and civil rights activist whose playing has graced stages with Chuck Berry, B.B. King, and Jerry Lee Lewis. 🎤 Charlie Ingui – The voice behind Soul Survivors, famed for the hit Expressway to Your Heart. 🎤 Leroy Hawks – Beloved local powerhouse vocalist with a soul-stirring voice and loyal following. “The Pride isn’t just a boat — it’s a classroom, a stage, a memory-maker. It’s the soul of our riverfront,” said Catherine Bene, Chairman of Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society.. “This event is our rally cry — we’re turning music into momentum.” The Mission: $175,000. One Night. One Iconic Boat. The Pride of the Susquehanna urgently needs repairs to its engine and hull, along with funding for fuel, staffing, insurance, and seasonal programming. This floating treasure has hosted thousands of students, families, seniors, and veterans on journeys through Harrisburg’s history, ecology, and community traditions. Without immediate support, the boat’s 35-year legacy is at risk. “We’re not just raising money — we’re raising the riverboat from the brink. And we’re doing it with guitars, grit, and a whole lot of heart,” said Quentin Jones. Tickets start at $50.00 and are on sale now at www.hbgriverboat.org. Donations are also welcome — every dollar brings the Pride one step closer to staying afloat. Whether you come for the music, the cause, or the community — come ready to rock the river.
